In Memory of
Boo

March, 2007

Boo (AKA Peek-a-boo) was a wild cat who used to live outdoors at Journey's End. She was trapped and spayed, but wouldn't come back inside until a storm was approaching and she came to the door to be let in. She would still hide indoors, and was known as Peek-a-boo because she'd watch from around a corner with big wild-cat eyes, but she wouldn't let anyone come near.

One day she began to nudge Florence at feeding time, and Florence was finally able to scratch and pet her for the first time, after Boo had been at Journey's End for almost 13 years. Florence must have found just the right spot, because she started to enjoy being petted. She completely lost the wild look in her eyes, and she no longer hid.
