Dikkens was found after one of the hurricanes and after many attempts to track
her human down, no one claimed her. She was almost blind and almost deaf.
The vet said, "She's ancient." Well, we think Dikkens was
like a fine wine that just got better with age. She loved to go outside
and meander around, though her meandering got to be less and less as she
got older. She mostly would stand in place and bark for Florence or one of the
volunteers to come take her wherever she wanted to go.
What a cutie! She was named after a visitor said, "She's cute as the Dikkens."
