Garfield
was an enormous cat who weighed 19 pounds when he arrived at Journey's
End. He was found as a stray
in nearby Deltona. No one claimed him after repeated ads in the
newspaper, so he was able to come to Journey's End. He was somewhat shy
and sometimes liked to hide. Garfield was only with us for a few
months. After arriving, he lost a lot of weight in a short amount of
time. He developed a serious case of fatty liver disease, a common
problem in cats, and had to be put down. We don't know why he lost so
much weight, but Florence thinks he might have been grieving.
