Rufus was found wandering in the Ocala National Forest during hunting
season. We assume he was abandoned.
Rufus lived in the back kitchen, with the other hound dogs. He was shy,
although he got along well with the other hounds. He was a bit overweight,
and he slept a lot as he got older.
Rufus lived to be very old. He eventually developed a brain tumor that
caused seizures, so he had to be put down.
