In Memory of
Sassy

January, 2008

Sassy came to Journey's End all the way from the Virgin Islands. She was a pit bull mix, and had been confiscated in a dog fighting bust. A husband and wife visiting the islands rescued her from the Humane Society there where she was being kept.

Sassy liked to spend her time snoozing on the hood of the maintenance truck and digging in the dirt. She was the only "jumper" of the bunch and could jump the picket fence AND the gate to the horse pasture (so she was generally the first animal someone would meet, with kisses of course, when visiting). She took care of her brothers and sisters and once cared for a litter of very sick kittens that were brought in.
