Little Girl

Little Girl is a middle-aged black and white cat who lives in the Cat House. She can usually be found up high, perched in the wooden catwalks near the ceiling.

Little Girl is a real survivor. She used to live with another cat, Skinny Boy, behind a fast food restaurant near the I-4 freeway in Orlando. For 4 years, a man drove 30 minutes each way to feed them. Then a lady who lived nearby heard about their situation and took over feeding them. She fed them for over a year and a half.

Eventually a large hotel construction project was started, and the restaurant was torn down. Both cats started living in a drainage ditch next to the freeway.

Skinny Boy was soon hit by a car, and his leg was broken and badly cut up. The lady took him to a vet, and he recovered well. She decided to adopt him. She then trapped Little Girl. She wanted to keep them together since they had been companions for so long, but since she couldn't keep them both, she arranged for Little Girl to come to Journey's End.

Despite living outdoors for much of her life, Little Girl is in excellent health. She was sweet-natured and cooperative after being trapped, but she is still very shy with people she doesn't know.

Little Girl's only shelter was a drainage pipe in the ditch

On one side of the ditch was a busy freeway ...

... and on the other side was a large construction project
