 Peanuts
belonged to a young man who went to jail, and she was brought here by
his mother. When Peanuts arrived, she was extremely thin--skin and
bones--and was pregnant. She had her kittens, but they were very sickly,
probably due to her own malnourishment. Several of them were taken home
and cared for by Journey's End volunteers.
Peanuts is very sweet and friendly, but she has the bad habit of sucking
and drooling on anyone who picks her up or gives her a lap. At first she lived in the Cat
House, but she didn't like living there and escaped almost every day.
She much prefers the main house, probably because there are
more visitors to pay her attention.
