 Merlin
was found wandering near a busy intersection down the road from
Journey's End. A lady picked him up and drove around with him for a
couple of hours, asking if anyone knew where he lived. When no one
claimed him, Florence offered to take him in. He had probably been
abandoned.
Merlin was estimated to be 10-12 years old when he arrived. He had a
large tumor on his chest, and soon had surgery to have it removed. The
tumor turned out to be cancerous, but luckily it was not an aggressive cancer.
He was also treated for an ear infection and for problems with his
teeth.
Merlin was shy at first but is getting to be more friendly. He is sweet,
gentle, and quiet, and gets along well with the other animals in the
front room.
